This is my first attempt to use this system

I have a form that has 2 separate MCQ sections. Each question answers score at a different amount. I have that set. I then want to be able to subtotal each section. First section self help, second social emotional. I have tagged the questions but cannot work out how to score them separately. I do not want the user to see the score but I want to see it on the reports for each section. Can you help?

I think I have solved the addition issue. Is there a way of pulling a report that shows the subtotals easily?

You can use the Scorecery Reports or export the data to Google Sheets.

Google Sheets

There are two options. (1) Sync Google Forms responses to Google Sheets (2) Export points and responses data from Scorecery reports

Sync responses to Google Sheets

Open your form in Google Forms, click Responses and click on the spreadsheet icon to sync responses to Google Sheets. All the fields in the form are included as columns and each row is a response.

Export points and responses data from Scorecery reports

Login to Scorecery > click on the form to open it > Edit page will be displayed > click Reports > click on the Export button in the bottom right corner. Please note that the responses will be synced to Sheets only when you click on the Export button in Scorecery. There will be three tabs in the Google Sheets (1) Responses - Shows the answers for all the questions in the form (2) Scores - Shows the points for individual questions along with the answers for other form fields (3) Q & A - You can use pivot table to analyse the data and create aggregate reports.

I have three sections to my form. I have a total score after each section. This worked well for section 1, but in section 2 it is totaling section 1 and 2. I want each section scored separately. Can you help me with a formula for that?

If you would like to calculate the section score by adding the points for all the questions in a section, then you can use the POINTS(SECTION) formula. You should add a short answer question with this formula in each of these sections to calculate the section scores.

I want to calculate a percentage of 2 scores and I do not know the formula. At the bottom of my second page (I know it doesn't make sense there but it makes reading the report easier) I have my calculated total score and a possible points score. I want to know the formula to add to the answer to the "Percentage" field for it to be Score / Possible Points (SCORE) x 100% Hope this makes sense and thank you!

Hi Amy, You can add the formula to calculate the percentage score. Instructions below.

In the Edit page, click on the gear icon next to the Percentage field > Field settings page will be displayed > click Answer > enter the below formula in the Calculate option and click Save.

If the total possible points is 50, then you can add the formula: Score/50 * 100

Note: You must type @ and select the score field from the list when adding the formula in the Calculate option.

I would like to create a TOTAL SCORE at the end of each section. How do I do that?

You can use the Scorecery addon to assign points and add score calculations in your google forms. If you would like to add the points for specific questions to calculate a category score, then please follow the instructions below.

In the Scorecery Edit page, click on the + icon to add a short answer question > enter the title (For example: "Section #1 score") > click on the gear icon for this question > Field settings page will be displayed > click Answer > enter the following formula POINTS(SECTION) in the Calculate option and click Save. This formula will add the points for all the questions in that section to calculate the score for that section.
