Good day

I have created a discount code for some of my clients on my Google Form, but it seems like the code can only be used once. Is that correct, meaning that I would have to give a unique coupon code every time, or is there a way I can create a code that can be used over and over again? Please advise.

Kind regards, Daniel de Lange

Thank you for your feedback!

On our form when we enter the coupon code, it deducts the amount it should and then when we click on "place order" it takes us back to the coupon code and displays the error message.

In the Neartail edit page, click on the gear icon next to the form title. The form settings page will be displayed. Click on the configure key fields icon next to the Save button in the bottom right corner. The summary settings page will be displayed. Select the Amount to be paid field for the Net amount option and click Save.

Currently, you have only mapped the order amount. That's why the order amount is being passed to Stripe/Payments. You must also map the net amount field so that the amount after discount is passed to payments.

I can't add multiple coupon codes

Hi Wynand, you can use the IFS function to set up multiple coupon codes. For example, you can use the below formula to apply a 15% discount for LOYAL15 and a $10 discount for WELCOME.

IFS(Coupon Code == "LOYAL15", 0.15 * Order Amount, Coupon Code == "WELCOME10", 10, 0)

Please note that coupon codes are case sensitive. You can change the coupon code and discount percentage as required.

Notes for your reference:

  • IFS function evaluates multiple conditions and returns a value that corresponds to the first true condition.
  • Syntax: IFS(condition1, value1, condition2, value2, …)
    • condition1 - The first condition to be evaluated.
    • value1 - The returned value if condition1 is TRUE.

If you would like to use the AND logical condition, you can use the && operator as shown below:

IFS(Age == x && Weight == y, "string1", "string2")

If you would like to use the OR logical condition, you can use the || operator as shown below:

IFS(Age == x || Weight == y, "string1", "string2")

Note: To use any form field in the calculations, type @, it will show a list of all the fields in the form. Select the required field from the list.

Can I do two coupon codes

Hi Mckay, you can add as many coupon codes as required with percentage or fixed discounts. Please note that the coupon codes are case sensitive.

Example formula with two discount codes:

IFS(Coupon Code == "LOYAL10", 0.10 * Order Amount, Coupon Code == "WELCOME", 10, 0)

Please try this and confirm.
